We run a Transport Safety Victoria approved Marine Licence Course at our Rowville training centre. Whether you’ve got a 2m tinnie for the inland waters or a 30m ocean runner, this is the course for you.

Join the group of thousands of successful licensees on our most popular course, the Recreational Boat Operators Course in Melbourne.  You’ll spend time learning from an experienced boat handler and stepping through the Victorian Boat Operators Handbook that will be explained into simple, easy to understand terms.

What’s Involved?

The Boat Licence course is run over two nights and covers all topics required for you to pass your boat licence and PWC (jet ski) test.  The nights begin with your own manual, presentations by your boat licence instructor and at the end of the second night you’ll sit the quiz.  Once you have passed your quiz you’ll be given a certificate that you take to VicRoads and they will issue you with your licence.

12-15 year olds can gain the Restricted boat Operators Licence and any 16 and overs can obtain the General Boat Operators Licence.  As an accredited training provider your instructor will make your learning easy and fun.

To start the boat licence course you will need to bring over some photo ID which shows your current address, and a pen.

The class starts at 19:00 both nights and runs until about 21:30.

The cost of the course

  • $130 for your boat licence course

  • $160 for your boat and PWC (jetski) licence course.

Fee does not include the small yearly fee from VicRoads.
