Decompression Procedures

The TDI Decompression Procedures course is the first step towards diving past the recreational depth limits. Often taught in conjunction with the Advanced Nitrox course. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you in organizing planned staged decompression diving, and will allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 45m.

During the course, you will be provided with comprehensive training and many new skills. This will help you to become prepared for other stages in the world of technical diving. The syllabus for the course includes:

  • Kit set-up
  • Equipment requirements
  • Decompression techniques
  • Decompression breathing gases
  • Gas management
  • Contingency planning
  • Team planning
  • Problem solving

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age – 18 years old
  • TDI Nitrox certification (or equivalent from another training organization)
  • TDI Advanced Nitrox Diving certification (if not combined)
  • Full personal equipment including redundant items
