The Corsair is the answer to the demand for a lightweight, more travel-friendly version of the Oceanic Excursion.  Utilising design elements from prior Excursion models, and then reducing some of the more heavy-duty attachment points to be fabric-based, rather than steel, has allowed for a reduction in weight without reducing functionality.  That said, if you plan to dive like a Christmas tree, covered in accessories and knicknacks, then perhaps you will need to look at something with more heavy duty d-rings, but otherwise the Corsair is a solid choice for a hybrid BCD.
