First Aid Training

At Aquatic Adventures we offer First Aid courses from the Emergency First Response syllabus, plus Nationally Recognised Training through our sister company, Active First Aid Training.

Emergency First Response

​

Emergency First Response (EFR) is the international First Aid partner of PADI.  EFR training focuses on building confidence in lay rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn simple to follow steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a non-stressful learning environment.

Nationally Recognised Training

 

For those seeking Nationally Recognised First Aid training that also fulfils the requirements for workplace first aid training, based upon the approved training practices of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC), we have a sister company, Active First Aid Training, who offer these programs. 

 

All of our EFR courses can be paired with their Nationally Recognised equivalents and taught simultaneously, granting you both the international and the ARC recognised training & qualifications.

PLEASE NOTE - all prices are based upon a minimum of 4 people participating in the course.  We will always endeavour to fill our courses, however in the event that a course is below minimum numbers, for it to go ahead on a given date then the cost would need to go up, to cover Instructor wages.  We will always inform all students in advance if this might happen and offer the opportunity to switch course dates if they do not wish to pay the extra cost.

EFR: Primary & Secondary care w/ AED

​

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) & Secondary Care (First Aid) with AED use teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies.

 

The course uses a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.

PLEASE NOTE: You can also complete the training for the Nationally Recognised HLTAID011: Provide First Aid certification alongside this course for an additional $35/person

EFR: CPR & AED

​

The Emergency First Response CPR & AED course teaches the basic principles of CPR and how to deploy and use an Automated External Defibrillation (AED) in an emergency situation.

 

This life saving device can increase a patient’s chance of survival from a cardiac arrest by fifty percent.

PLEASE NOTE: You can also complete the training for the Nationally Recognised HLTAID009: Provide CPR certification alongside this course for an additional $35/person

EFR: Care for Children

​

The Emergency First Response Care for Children course trains the lay rescuer to master the priorities and the procedures of patient care for infants and children in a non-stressful learning environment, enhancing confidence when rendering aid in a real medical emergency.

The course can be run in conjunction with the EFR: Primary & Secondary care course, or independently to a similar timescale.

EFR & CFC Instructor

During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children, CPR & AED courses. Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses.
